About Finding Legit Adult Sex Toy Testing Positions

I said I wanted to build the most incredible, unique library of work-from-home opportunities available, so here's another truly unique article - How to Become an Adult Sex Toy Tester.

Paid Sex Toy Testing...to some people this may sound hilarious, to others they may think their prayers have been answered. Let’s discuss the truth behind the concept.

First, you need to ask yourself, “Is there such thing as sex toy testing?”
If you are a man picturing a room filled with beautiful women all “testing” sex toys, think again. This idea doesn’t exist…well, maybe in those movies found in the back section of the Blockbuster. BUT there really are sex toy testers, and they really do take their job seriously.

See, sex toys are just like any other product; it has to work and it has to work well in order to be a profitable venture for the maker. Just like with a new kind of television, there’s going to be good things about it and bad things about it and the “testers” (aka “product reviewers”) are in charge of providing real feedback. But there’s two parts to this “job” that you should be made aware of –

First, 99% of these “testers” are not paid. They get free products in exchange for serious reviews.

Second, There’s ten times the amount of “scammers” out there than real people offering “tester”/reviewer positions.

Before we can discuss how to locate a paid sex toy tester position let me first tell you how NOT to locate a position.

1. If you EVER come across a posting for any sex toy company that is looking for paid sex toy testers and they ask you to send in photographs, it’s more than likely a HUGE SCAM. You can almost bet that it’s some perv sitting at their computer trying to cop free pictures of people. Why would a company need your photo? You are not applying to be a lingerie model, you are applying to test a product. Think to yourself, “Does Hewitt Packard ask for my photo to test their new products for them?” – NO! And nor does any other company. The only reason you would need to send a photo is if you specifically are going to be appearing in advertisements (which is a whole different can of worms).
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER send any photos.
(You may be laughing at the fact that people could actually fall for this, BUT I have seen DOZENS of "help wanted" postings on sites like CraigsList for sex toy testing companies that require all applicants to send in dozens of photos of different body parts.)

2. The second scam you’ll run across when looking to become a paid sex toy tester is the sites that ask for a “one time fee”. This is nothing more than someone looking to pull the wool over your eyes. Never pay to work. If a legit company wants their products tested they will never ask for money from you. And the sites that promise you will get free sex toys if you pay “$49.99” are rip offs too. You may get your sex toy, maybe even two (just so you can’t go to the BBB and file a complaint), but you have all ready paid for them. The $1 pack of lotion and the $3 sample of lubrication are hardly worth the $50 you sent them.

3. If you happen to come across any kind of job postings that will need you to send video showing that you know how to use a sex toy, please run the other way. Yes, there really are people who fall for this because I have came across a dozen of these postings when researching to write this article.

4. Also, watch for email addresses. If the company has an email like sex-toy-testing@yahoo.com or We'll-Make-You-Smile@Hotmail.com (or even Chester-70-and-Single@gmail.com) , ask yourself "WTF?". Any legit company should have a professional email that they pay for.

Now, if you are still super serous about being a sex toy tester and you don’t mind not getting paid, the best way to go about doing this is to start a website on which you review sex products. After you have published many reviews feel free to write to sex toy companies (the real ones!) and offer a review in exchange for their product(s). Also, you can go directly to the sex toy company sites and see if they are looking for any kind of testers, paid or non-paid.
