Paid Opportunities

Yoo Hoo, contact me when you get a check! I have about $40 total pending and the first $10 is from Nov 29th! They have only returned one of my 4 emails and my referrals are all asking me what's going on? My online reputation is important to me and this kind of thing irks my ass! I can understand that new startups can get out hand, but if you are a business, take that into consideration and stop the refs or cut down on the payout, something! so that your original supporters get paid! It reminds me of Daytipper, with their $3 per tip. They still accept tips, but have not paid me for 9 tips submitted in January of 2007. Go figure!
 

Thanks for the comment Deb. I think it is very important that we stand up to all online companies that are not treating us fairly.

Like you said, I do totally understand being a new company, but the bottom line is that their company being new is NOT our problem. We have held up our end of the deal and earned money. We deserve to be paid in a timely manner because we do put our reputations on the line. This is why it is so important for us to move forward with legal action against companies that are with holding money. As mentioned, I am giving them until May 16th so send me every penny of my cash or I will have no choice but to file a lawsuit. *If* it gets to that point, I will gladly sue on behalf of everyone who is missing funds.

SUGGESTION: If anyone feels they *may* be interested in participating in a suit, be sure to get proof of all the payments you are owed NOW. I have been doing this online gig for a long time and I have seen many companies try to "vanish" (picture AGLOCO). If their site goes down and you have no proof that you ever made a penny or asked for a check, you're SOL. SO take screen shots of when you requested payments. I all ready have screenshots of all the FQSA and privacy policy. I always take these shots when I register for a company because, after my ReviewStream experience, I have found that dishonest businesses will try and alter their privacy policy and FAQs just so they can avoid legal action.

I have even more info on Brring that can be used in court (IF it gets to that point) but I don't want to release it in this article.

So, YOU WILL get your money. I WILL get my money and every one of my readers WILL get their money as well. Hopefully we will have some checks in the next few weeks. But if not, then we will have it soon. After all, we earned it.

I sent a hot email to them a couple of weeks ago and finally got a reply today. They apologized for the slow payments and said my first cash out should be here by mid next week...So I'll let you know when I get it.

I probably got the same response you do yesterday. I guess al we can do is wait. I think they realize that if they don't send check now their company is going to be driven into the ground by angry bloggers.

I cashed out my account in early December and I still haven't gotten a check either.

I have stopped using it primarily because the main person who called me on it didn't realize that the number was actually long distance for her. I was going to use the check to pay her back for her long distance charges if it ever arrives.

All in all though seemed like a great service. I really hope they get their act together.
 

Just a heads up, domains by Proxy is a whois privacy feature that GoDaddy sells to the owner of domains. That is not Bringgs information, that is the location of the GoDaddy Office in Scottsdale. Domain Privacy hides an owners true information. Figured I'd save you a trip to AZ even though its wonderful out here!

I cashed out twice in late Nov. Still haven't been paid. Sent and email in late Dec. and was told they needed more time. Sent a second email in Jan., no response. Four months have gone by and not one penny. I am going to email them again today and hope I get a response. This is ridiculous, no checks and now I am being ignored. Starting to think brring is a scam.
 

I am a new brring customer/user/whatever'er. For several days now I cannot log in to the site, I cannot create a new account, I cannot even contact customer service through the site. I tried emailing them from an earlier customer service issue and have heard nothing, twice I emailed them.
What is going on?
 

They're a new start-up. I'm pretty sure they're not making milliojns off of this yet and if they were, I'm sure they'd be paying your kindergarten ass.

Personally, I signed up for them because they can connect a call from a few cities over from a friend who does not have long distance to me(who does) for a ten second ad. I hope they continue.

Now they may have made some promises they couldn't keep, but really who hasn't? I'll bet if they put "Open Source" in their title instead of "beta" there would be a gang at your front door with Linux discs ready to beat your ass.

Just because the INTERNET gives you the ability to BITCH and MOAN, doesn't mean you SHOULD.

BTW, I'm a banker by day, got out of IT long ago, but it is still a very good concept and I really hope it works out.

I requested my $10.00 check back in JULY! I have reeatedly emailed them with no response. I have even threatened to go to the atty general- no response. If they were, in fact, legit and just overwhelmed and backlogged, they would at least respond to emails
