Which Site is the Best for Paid to Shop / Cash Back Shopping?

KickItBack has now added more "paid to shop" companies, making it great competition for BigCrumbs, Mr.Rebates and Memolink!

So which paid to Shop site is really the best? Lets do a comparison. For this comparison we will take two companies that you can purchase items through and assume you spent $100 with both and compare the earnings you would have made using each of the mentioned sites:

Contender #1: Mr.Rebates . Lets say you were going to spend $100 with Avon.com through Mr. Rebates. You get 6% cash back, meaning you will receive $6.

Second, lets say you wanted to buy from Macys. Mr Rebates provides you with 4% cash back, which would earn you $4.00 on a $100 purchase.

PERK:
Mr. Rebates provides you with coupons. All you have to do is click through the coupon link and order.

TOTAL EARNINGS: Assuming $200 total was spent ($100 at Macys and $100 at Avon) you would have gotten $10 cash back.

Contender #2: KickItBack . Kick it back offers 3.25% cash back on Avon purchases. If you spend $100 you will get $3.25 back.

Macys purchases are worth 2.40% cash back, giving you $2.40 on a $100 purchase.

PERK: KickItBack was the first "paid to shop eBay" site and offers low cash out amount of only $5.00!

TOTAL EARNINGS: Assuming $200 total was spent ($100 at Macys and $100 at Avon) you would have gotten $5.65 cash back.

Contender #3: BigCrumbs.com. BigCrumbs is a little tricky because when you first register you have to choose if you want to earn money as a "crumb saver" or a "crumb earner". I encourage everyone to become a "crumb saver" unless you plan to refer hundreds of people to the program. Assuming you have opted to become a "crumb earner", if you spend $100 at Avon.com you will have earned 7.2% commission, giving you $7.20. If you are a "Crumb Saver" you will have earned only 4%, giving you $4.

If you use BigCrumbs.com as a "Crumb Saver" to shop at Macys and spend $100, you will earn 3.6%, giving you $3.60 cash back. As a "Crumb Earner" you will only receive 2% cash back, giving you $2.

PERK: Coupons also provided!

TOTAL EARNINGS: As a "Crumb Saver", Assuming $200 total was spent ($100 at Macys and $100 at Avon) you would have gotten $10.80 cash back. As a "Crumb Earner" you would have gotten $6.00 cash back.

Contender #4: Memolink.com. Memolink has a set rate of points you earn per purchase with each retailer. However, they often offer "double points months". We will assume that, for demonstration purposes, that it is NOT double points month.

If you use Memolink.com to purchase $100 worth of Avon goods, you will earn 64 "points" per dollar spent, making your total points accumulation 6,400.
It is hard to pinpoint exactly how much a point is worth at Memolink because it all depends on what you want to cash out for. Since Memolink offers cash payments as well as gift card payments, a "point" could be worth many different amounts. Lets say that you want to earn the Wal-Mart gift card ($10 gift card equals 19,200 points). By spending $100 at Avon and earning 6,400 points, your points would be worth about $3.33.

If you were to shop at Macys.com through Memolink you would earn 32 points per dollar spent. If you spend $100 you will have earned 3,200 points, making your cash back about $1.67.

TOTAL EARNINGS: Assuming $200 total was spent ($100 at Macys and $100 at Avon) you would have gotten $5.00 cash back.

REFERRAL PROGRAM
Contender #1: Mr.Rebates gives a flat 20% of all referral earnings. So if your referral spends $100 at Avon and earns $6 cash back, you will earn $1.20. If your referral earns $4 from the $100 Macys purchase, you will earn $0.80.

TOTAL EARNINGS: Assuming your referral spends $200 total ($100 at Avon.com and $100 at Macys.com) you would have earned $2.00 in referral income.

Contender #2: KickItBack has a slightly different referral program. Each company offers a different percentage for referral purchases. If your referral earned $3.25 on the $100 Avon purchase, you would be given .35%; earning you about $1.13. On the other hand, if your referral spends $100 at Macys and gets $2.40, you would earn only .25%, giving you about $0.60.

TOTAL EARNINGS: Assuming your referral spends $200 total ($100 at Avon.com and $100 at Macys.com) you would have earned $1.73 in referral income.

Contender #3: BigCrumbs.com has an interesting referral program. You are able to earn from your referrals, your referrals-referrals, their referrals and so on, all the way up to 10 levels of referrals. I don't know how likely it is to really reach 10 levels of referrals (will be discussed more in depth in next article) but none-the-less, the *potential* is supposedly there.
Now on the BigCrumbs referral program, with Avon you will earn .80%. Meaning, if your referral earns $7.20 on a $100 purchase, you will get $2.88.
And with Macys you will earn .4% of your referral earnings. So if your referral spends a hundred bucks and earns $3.60, you will be given $1.44.

TOTAL EARNINGS: Assuming your referral spends $200 total ($100 at Avon.com and $100 at Macys.com) you would have earned $4.32 in referral income.

Contender #4: Memolink.com has a referral program that doesn't get you too far. They offer only 100 "bonus points" per each registration you send their way. Using the Wal-Mart gift card scenario, 100 points is worth like $0.05...per referral. You will need almost 200 referrals to earn the $10 gift card.

TOTAL EARNINGS: Assuming your referral spends $200 total ($100 at Avon.com and $100 at Macys.com) you would have earned only about $0.10.

Best Cash Back Shopping Program

So in the end, who is the best Cash Back Shopping program? The best choices are to use BigCrumbs.com and Mr.Rebates. Decide which company you wish to order from and compare which of the two companies has the best rates.

If you are looking to make money off referrals, use both companies!
